Naik Meditechs was established in 2003 as an offshoot of Naik Distributors, a pharmaceutical distribution firm, with an objective to provide marketing, sales and distribution support to the pharmaceutical, medical equipment and medical accessory companies in Kerala.
Naik Meditechs benefitted from the brand image of its parent firm and currently has carved a reputation of its own among leading pharmaceutical /medical equipment/accessory companies in the world and also among the end users of the products, health care providers, retailers and distributors through its unparalled marketing, sales, logistics and after sales support.
In its endevour to provide excellent support both to upstream and downstream customers and to ensure sustainable growth in our business and attract talent, Naik Meditechs was privatized on May 6, 2009 and incorporated as Naik Meditechs & Devices Pvt. Ltd.
Up to the first half of 2010, NMDPL's activities were limited to the state of Kerala spanning 2500 medical shops and 400 hospitals.
In the second half of 2010, NMDPL expanded its operations in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh by appointing distributors and starting sales & marketing activities in the cities of Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. In 2011, we will further intensify the operations in these states by improving our head count in these cities and also by expanding operations in the cities of Mangalore, Mysore, Coimbatore, Madurai, Hubli and Vijayawada. We will achieve full fledged operations in these areas by the end of FY2011-12.
